I was born in Jacksonville in 1964. Jones College radio had just hit the air. Even though my roots run deep, my parents moved us to Colorado when I was ten.  We came home to visit family when we could. I never thought I’d live here again. These days I cling to the familiar landmarks from childhood; many  are buried deep within the city now.  Being gone for 35 years did not erase this place from my heart. Jacksonville is my home…and it’s nice to be back.

  1. Bowen, you have such a fine mind. Observant, caring, loving and able to describe every day things so well. I love you. mom
